Hey guys,
Thanks for sticking with me. It's been a long couple of weeks for me, and I just recieved word that I'm actually making some progress! My clothes are fitting a little bit looser with every passing day! I could not have done it without the support of a few very special people, most importantly, my brother Justin. Without him, I would have already failed, my life would be chaos...
I simply cannot imagine a world without my brother.
I just finished reading Bret Hart's "Hitman: My Real Life in the Cartoon World of Pro Wrestling." It made me realize a few things that I hadn't before. One of those things is the importance of family. More specifically, the way one can look to certain family members to always support them, no matter what endeavours they may face or decisions they have made. I am lucky enough to have a brother I can count on to do basically anything for me, and I would try to do the same for him.
Bret had a brother like this. Bret and Owen were as close as brothers could be. On their journeys, they would discuss life, problems at home, troubles at the "Hart House," and they shared many laughs, pulling pranks on, or "ribbing" other wrestlers and joking with each other. As I read about this bond between brothers in Bret's autobiography, it made me think a lot about me and my own brother. We've had our share of arguments, but our relationship has grown so strong since he and I have been traveling together to work and school, respectively. Bret and Owen found solace in each others company, while living in the so-called "Cartoon World" that is the Pro Wrestling Business. They even endured the tragic loss of their brother Dean to kidney failiure. Unfortunately, God brought Owen home on May 23, 1999, after an accident caused him to fall 78 feet to his tragic, untimely death at the age of 34. Like I said before, I cannot imagine a world without my brother, and absolutley dread a world where I had my brother and then lost him.
As you see, I seem to have come full circle with Wrestlers that inspire me to try to be healthy. This is not true. I just draw such a large amount of my inspiration from Bret Hart. I will be writing about him at least one more time soon.
Until then, my friends and enemies, my heels and faces.
